Musician Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie Xo, proceeded with plans to have children together following their divorce, despite receiving warnings from their legal teams about potential consequences. The couple's marital dissolution agreement, filed in Williamson County, Tennessee, revealed that both parties had been advised by their respective attorneys on the risks associated with using their genetic material.

According to court documents, Jelly Roll, 41, and Bunnie Xo, 46, acknowledged that they were informed of "consequences pertaining to this Agreement with respect to their genetic materials, due to evolving technology and case law." They were also alerted to an "interim category" of interest afforded to such materials. Despite being directed and advised to obtain independent counsel specializing in genetics and reproductive law prior to signing the agreement, the former couple elected not to consult with such experts.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo were officially declared divorced on Friday. The musician filed for divorce in May, citing irreconcilable differences after nearly 10 years of marriage. Bunnie Xo had previously stated her intention to not let the breakup deter her dream of becoming a mother, indicating that Jelly Roll shared the same desire to have a child together and raise it as a family.

The divorce agreement also included provisions revoking prior permissions for accessing each other's personal accounts and records. A confidentiality and non-disparagement clause was also established, prohibiting public discussion of private matters or criticism of each other. The division of assets, which included property, vehicles, intellectual property, and more, was handled through a separate confidential property settlement agreement.
