Vice President JD Vance has expressed a sense of envy over former President Donald Trump’s continued public commentary on the physiques of male Republican lawmakers, particularly the posterior of Ohio Senate candidate Jon Husted. Vance made these remarks during a Fox News town hall event in Fort Worth, Texas.

When host Jesse Watters inquired about Trump’s repeated remarks concerning Husted's backside, Vance quipped, "First of all, I’m jealous. The president’s never said that about me. I’ve got to get back in the gym maybe and draw that particular piece of praise.”

Vance described Trump’s comments as some of his “favorites,” characterizing the former president as a “comedian at heart” who enjoys “shaking things up.” He added that Trump doesn’t take himself too seriously.

Trump initially gushed over Husted's physique at an Oct. 20 rally, commenting on his "pile of muscle" and describing him as "like a piece of steel."

Despite Trump's claims of never having "studied the body of a man before," a compilation of clips shared by CNN showed the president publicly complimenting other men, including Sen. Tim Scott and Larry Nordone, on their appearances.

Trump further amplified his remarks on TikTok this week, reiterating his enthusiasm for Husted’s “great” and “very powerful ass” and claiming his comments had boosted Husted’s poll numbers.

However, polling data suggests Husted holds only a slight edge over his Democratic opponent, Sherrod Brown, in the Ohio Senate race, with the impact of Trump's commentary on the outcome remaining unclear.

During the town hall, Vance also acknowledged Husted has a “very nice body” but stressed that Husted would be a better senator than his opponent. Vance faced criticism for initially responding to a voter's question about housing affordability with another remark about Husted's posterior, which was widely shared on social media.
