Jax Taylor has filed a restraining order against his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, alleging that she cost him $175,000 by sabotaging a television comeback opportunity. According to the filing, Taylor claimed Cartwright disseminated false information about him online and reached out to prospective employers, thereby hindering brand deals and contracts.
Taylor was slated to appear on the Fox competition series “Special Forces” after being engaged for the role in April. However, he was removed from the show days before filming was scheduled to commence. Taylor stated he learned that Cartwright allegedly contacted the network, accusing them of "giving a platform to an abuser" and threatening public repercussions if they proceeded with his participation.
The filing asserts that Taylor is currently unemployed with no prospects, and his only consistent income is $5,000 per month from a deal set to end in November. "His savings are rapidly diminishing," the document reads. "His mental and emotional calm, rebuilt at great personal cost through recovery, has been destroyed."
