Jana Kramer has defended the choice of Adam Sandler to officiate the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden, describing the comedian as a "sweet man" who is "very intentional."

Kramer, who appeared in the 2006 film "Click" with Sandler, shared her perspective on her "Whine Down" podcast Friday. She noted that while Sandler may have a large public persona, he is "soft spoken" and "grounded and sentimental" in his personal interactions.

"It almost does make sense to me now because he does have that sentimental [personality] like, he’s just such a sweet man," Kramer said. "He really is, and he’s a good man. So I could see him being really funny, but then also really grounded and sentimental."

Swift's publicist, Tree Paine, confirmed to Page Six that Sandler officiated the ceremony on July 3. The wedding reportedly took place after Sandler and Kelce worked together on the film "Happy Gilmore 2," which is slated for a 2025 release. Kelce made a cameo in the film alongside Bad Bunny.

Swift and Kelce, both 36, were married in front of approximately 1,000 guests, including celebrity friends like Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid. The couple honored Swift's brother, Austin Swift, as her "Man of Honor," and Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, as the "Best Man."

The newlyweds made their first public appearance as a married couple on Friday at a wedding for Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.
