Jamie Oliver, 51, has described himself as the 'happiest' he has ever been, attributing his current state to his wife, Jools. In a rare interview on The Romesh Ranganathan Show, Oliver spoke about his wife's positive influence, stating, "I want to try and be the best version of myself. My wife's been amazing. She's like my best teacher at the moment."

Oliver, who has been with Jools since he was 18, expressed a renewed sense of connection in their relationship. "I've got to know her more in the last two years," he said. "Like, how is that possible? But like I feel like I'm just finally getting to know her properly, which is quite exciting."

He affectionately described Jools as "a bit like Yoda. She's very wise." Oliver also expressed deep gratitude for his family and team, adding, "I've never loved my wife more than now and I'm so proud of my kids and then like my team at work I'm so grateful for."

Earlier in September, Oliver shared a throwback photograph of himself and Jools from their first holiday together in Crete. In the image, a young Oliver sported long blond hair, while Jools wore a crop top. The couple, who met as teenagers, playfully commented on the photo, "we haven't changed one bit."

Jamie and Jools Oliver met in 1992 on a double date and married in 2000. They have five children: Poppy Honey Rose, 24; Daisy Boo Pamela, 23; Petal Blossom Rainbow, 17; Buddy Bear Maurice, 15; and River Rocket Blue Dallas, 9.
