Jamie Foxx has shared his thoughts on becoming a father again at the age of 58, admitting he had reservations about the development. He discussed his feelings in a joint interview with his daughter Corinne.
Foxx, who shares a 32-year-old daughter, Corinne, with ex Connie Kline, and a 17-year-old daughter, Anelise, with ex Kristin Grannis, is expecting another child with his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp. News of Huckstepp's pregnancy emerged in May, with sources indicating she was several months along.
During the interview, Foxx confessed, "Being my age, I was a little on the fence." However, he added that a conversation with Al Pacino shifted his perspective.
"But then I ran into Al Pacino a few months ago," Foxx explained. Pacino, 86, became a new father in June 2023 when his then-girlfriend Noor Alfallah, 32, gave birth to their son, Roman. Foxx humorously recounted his exchange with Pacino, asking, "Al, you gonna be back in the drop off line?" before concluding, "Aw man, shoot I’m good."
Huckstepp, an Australian former fitness model, first became publicly associated with Foxx in 2022. She was a source of support for him during a serious health crisis in 2023. In March 2024, a source told In Touch magazine that Huckstepp "was totally there for him when he got sick, and they got very close after that."
Foxx himself revealed in his 2024 Netflix stand-up special, "What Had Happened Was...", that he had suffered a stroke caused by a brain bleed, which led to a 20-day memory loss and temporary confinement to a wheelchair. He recalled experiencing a severe headache on April 11 and seeking aspirin, but quickly realized his friends were not equipped to handle a medical emergency. He credited his sister Deidra with saving his life by rushing him to Piedmont Metro Atlanta Hospital for treatment. Foxx noted that his family initially kept the details of his illness private, fearing he would be "meme[d] the f*** out of me" due to his condition.
The source of the brain bleed remains a mystery to Foxx, who stated, "We still don't know exactly what happened to me."
Foxx and Huckstepp announced their separation in January 2025, but were seen together again in April, indicating a reconciliation.
Prior to welcoming his son Roman with Alfallah, Pacino was already a father to three adult children: Julie, 36, with acting teacher Jan Tarrant, and twins Anton and Olivia, 25, with actress Beverly D'Angelo. Reports suggested Pacino was initially shocked by Alfallah's pregnancy and requested a DNA test due to concerns about his health, but the test confirmed paternity. Alfallah has full physical custody of Roman, while sharing legal custody with Pacino. Court documents indicated Pacino was to provide an upfront child support payment of $110,000, with a monthly payment of at least $30,000, and an annual contribution to an education fund.
