Actor James Norton was seen enjoying the All Points East festival in London over the weekend. He kept a low profile, wearing a cap and sunglasses, and was dressed in a red jacket, hoop earring, chain, and a watch. Norton was observed watching performances from artists including Lorde and PinkPantheress.

Norton's appearance comes after he shared an anecdote about causing a stir at a GQ dinner due to his type 1 diabetes. He recounted an instance where, after taking insulin without a substantial meal to follow, he began to feel faint. The actor, who was diagnosed with diabetes at age 22, uses a continuous glucose monitor and takes daily insulin doses to manage the condition.

During a speech at the GQ event, while seated at a high table with notable figures like Jude Law and Nicole Kidman, Norton experienced symptoms of hypoglycemia. He requested food from a waitress, who provided him with a chocolate bar and juice. However, backstage, his condition had caused concern, and in the middle of a speech, he was presented with a plate of potatoes.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease where the body does not produce enough insulin, leading to high blood glucose levels. Management typically involves daily insulin injections. Norton has previously mentioned adapting costumes with special pockets for sugar tablets to manage his condition while working.
