Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon have resulted in the deaths of at least 11 people, including two children, according to Lebanese state media. The strikes hit the village of Kfar Rumman and another location, further escalating regional tensions.

Nine individuals were killed when a three-story residential building in Kfar Rumman was destroyed shortly after midnight. A subsequent strike on a car claimed the lives of two paramedics, the National News Agency reported. The Israeli military stated it is investigating the reports.

These recent attacks follow a pattern of retaliatory actions. On Sunday, Israeli strikes killed seven people in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military indicated these actions were in response to drone attacks by the armed group Hezbollah targeting Israeli troops in occupied areas.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has characterized the ongoing attacks as a "dangerous escalation." He expressed concern that these actions jeopardize the U.S.-brokered ceasefire, which was agreed upon in June with the aim of ending the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
