Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has urged Gulf rulers to identify their "real enemy" and confront its plans, according to a written message released Sunday.

The message, which coincided with the birthday of Islam's Prophet Muhammad, also advocated for unity, mutual defense against "enemies," and global cooperation among Muslims.

Khamenei reportedly has not appeared in public since sustaining injuries in U.S.-Israeli airstrikes six months prior, which led to the death of his father and the previous supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
