Social media influencer Nara Smith announced on Wednesday that her 2-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, was diagnosed with cancer in late 2025. Smith shared the news in an Instagram Reel, acknowledging the difficulty of the announcement.

Smith stated that she and her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, noticed something suspicious about their daughter and sought medical attention. Initial evaluations at an emergency room did not provide clarity, but a pediatrician advised them to visit a children's hospital. It was there, following X-rays, ultrasounds, and a biopsy, that Whimsy Lou received her cancer diagnosis. Smith said the cancer had spread and that her daughter required immediate chemotherapy treatments.

While Smith did not specify Whimsy Lou's current health status, she described the family's journey as challenging. She and Lucky Blue Smith are also parents to Rumble Honey, 5, Slim Easy, 4, and Fawnie Golden, who was born in late 2025. Lucky Blue Smith is also the father of an 8-year-old daughter, Gravity, from a previous relationship.

Smith, 24, noted that balancing hospital visits with work has been difficult, with some days being harder than others. She mentioned that she has been posting less frequently on social media. Her decision to share the news, she hopes, will offer comfort and reduce feelings of loneliness for others facing similar struggles. She also aimed to encourage others to seek medical attention for any concerning health issues they may have been avoiding.

In the caption of her video, Smith expressed gratitude for the medical professionals who have assisted them. The post's featured image was a black-and-white photograph of Lucky Blue Smith in a hospital room with a healthcare worker. The couple has been together since 2019, becoming engaged that same year and marrying in February 2020. Their older children, Rumble and Slim, were born in October 2020 and January 2022, respectively, with Whimsy born in April 2024.
