Heartbreaking photos have emerged of Ashley Garibay, a 23-year-old In-N-Out employee, smiling in her uniform shortly before she was killed in a mass shooting at the restaurant on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Garibay was among two people who died when a gunman opened fire at the Twin Falls, Idaho, eatery. Several others were injured in the incident. The alleged shooter, 24-year-old Chad Williams, died by suicide after the attack. Officials reported that two bystanders, described as Good Samaritans, fired back at Williams, which may have prevented further casualties.

Friends and family described Garibay as a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. A GoFundMe page established to assist with funeral costs stated, "Ashley was a beloved daughter, sister, auntie and best friend to everyone she met. She has left a lasting impression on so many souls!"

Images released by the Garibay family depict her beaming alongside her parents and siblings. Her mother, Sabrina Garibay, updated her Facebook profile picture to a photo of herself and her daughter.

"As she was doing what she loved, her life was taken," read a post on the GoFundMe page, referencing Garibay's work at the restaurant.
