A 15-year-old girl, accused alongside her 16-year-old boyfriend of murdering five relatives, exchanged disturbing text messages with him, including one where she stated she "loved blood," according to court testimony. The couple faces murder charges in connection with a series of attacks discovered Sunday in East St. Louis, Illinois.

Chilling Instagram exchanges presented in court suggest the pair allegedly planned the killings, which reportedly were initiated over a disagreement about the girl’s schooling. In one message, the boyfriend allegedly told the girl, "Well, your auntie is going to be easy. We can have her at gunpoint and stab her [expletive]." The girl is reported to have responded, "I can do that. I love blood," followed by, "Babe, I’m finna lose my whole family for you."

The victims have been identified as the girl’s grandmother, Patricia May, 74; her cousin, Devin May, 24; her aunt, Cherie May, 49; and her step-siblings, Quentin Thompson, 21, and Shania Thompson, 25. Cherie May was reportedly killed days before the other victims, with her body discovered on the same day as the other four shootings, which occurred at three different locations.

Prosecutors allege that the 15-year-old girl lured her grandmother into the home, where the boyfriend was hiding and subsequently shot her grandmother. The boyfriend is also accused of severing the grandmother's thumb to unlock her iPhone. The alleged motive for the killings is said to be the family's decision to remove the girl from public school and homeschool her to prevent her from getting into trouble.

Authorities state the girl allegedly stole her aunt’s gun early last week, which was then used in the massacre. Two other relatives sustained serious injuries but are expected to recover.

The 16-year-old boyfriend, Ja’ymier Davis, is being prosecuted as an adult in St. Clair County criminal court and faces 12 charges, including five counts of first-degree murder, dismemberment, aggravated battery, and vehicular hijacking. The 15-year-old girl is currently charged with first-degree murder in juvenile court, and prosecutors are seeking to have her case transferred to adult court.
