The husband of a woman convicted of sexually assaulting two underage hockey players has stated he remains married to her and they are attempting to avoid public attention. Allison Schardin was convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct after pleading guilty to offenses that occurred in January 2024.

Allison Schardin's husband, Anthony, confirmed in a recent statement that they are still married. "We're trying to stay under the radar about all that," he told the Daily Mail, adding that they are still together. He is 52 years old, while his wife is 40.

In January 2025, Schardin was sentenced to two weekends in jail, community service, and five years of probation, avoiding a prison sentence. According to a complaint, prosecutors stated that Schardin, a mother of two, met the two 15-year-old hockey players from Colorado in a hotel hot tub during a family staycation in Roseville, Minnesota. She reportedly exchanged contact information with the teens after an argument with her husband, who threatened to end their relationship if she did not return to their room.

Court documents allege that Schardin later sent one of the boys a Snapchat message and then engaged in sexual acts with them in a hotel room, while a third teen watched. She allegedly told the boys they were young enough to be her children and asked if they wanted to do more. One of the victims told police they did not know how to refuse her advances.

The complaint also states that Schardin tracked the hockey players to a rink the following day, making them feel "nervous." She continued to text them after they returned home, urging them not to report the incident and apologizing before eventually confessing to investigators.

Court records indicate that Anthony Schardin had filed for divorce in December 2023, approximately four weeks before the assaults took place. However, the couple jointly petitioned to have the divorce case moved to inactive status in April 2024, about six weeks after Schardin's arrest. The divorce case was eventually dismissed a year later.
