Hull City winger Sorba Thomas was involved in a car crash on Friday morning near the club's training ground but sustained no injuries, the club confirmed. The incident occurred on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham.
Thomas, 27, was able to exit his vehicle, a grey Land Rover Defender, which ended up on its roof. Images circulating on social media showed the vehicle with shattered windows. Humberside Police stated that emergency services were at the scene and investigating, urging the public to avoid the area.
Hull City, who signed Thomas from Stoke earlier this month, released a statement expressing relief that the player was unharmed. "The club is aware of images of Sorba's car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed," the statement read.
