Hoda Kotb, 61, recently shared glimpses of her family vacation in the Bahamas, where she was accompanied by her two daughters and her ex-fiancé, Joel Schiffman. The "Today" show host posted a series of photos on Instagram documenting the trip.
One image showed Kotb posing on the beach with several family members, including Schiffman, 68. She was seen wearing a black and white striped bikini. Another photo featured Kotb in a blue, white, and yellow bikini, standing in a pool with her daughters, Haley Joy, nine, and Hope Catherine, seven, as well as her mother, Sameha. The post also included clips of her daughters enjoying the ocean and a boardwalk.
Kotb captioned the post: "Nothing like being in the same place at the same time #family."
Kotb and Schiffman ended their engagement in January 2022, after eight years together. Their planned destination wedding was postponed multiple times due to the pandemic before they ultimately parted ways. Despite the separation, they have maintained a cordial relationship and continue to co-parent their adopted daughters.
In August 2022, Kotb spoke about their co-parenting dynamic, explaining their arrangement to People Magazine. "He'll have a Saturday, and I'll do the Sunday. We switch each week. He'll take the girls and do some fun things, and I'll take some quiet time. It's a healthy mix, and the kids love it. He's a great dad," she said at the time. She emphasized open communication and the support of their nannies in managing their schedules.
Kotb has previously shared insights into her fitness routine. In June 2025, she posted videos of herself engaged in weightlifting, including squats, sled pushes, and medicine ball exercises. Her trainer, Brian Harrington, also shared content highlighting her dedication, noting her energy and enthusiasm during early morning workouts.
Kotb has expressed no regrets about her past relationship with Schiffman, stating that it led to her having her children. "I don't regret one day, not one minute, not one second of our time together because it brought me here. I have two incredible children I share with him," she said. "And it's because of Joel that I have Haley and Hope, without question. I think I might have been too afraid to do it alone."
