Actress Hayden Panettiere was found dead by a friend in her South Carolina home on Sunday, according to a report from the New York Post.
A friend contacted emergency services after discovering Panettiere unresponsive and in "cardiac arrest." Emergency responders were unable to revive the actress at the scene.
Panettiere, known for her roles in the television series "Heroes" and "Nashville," was 36 years old. The cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
