English soccer star Harry Kane has described a round of golf with former President Donald Trump as a "surreal experience." Kane, who was in Florida, accepted an invitation from Trump to play golf approximately a year and a half ago.

"When the President invites you somewhere, it was a pretty surreal experience just to meet him and to play golf with him," Kane stated. He also complimented Trump's golf game, adding, "His golf is pretty good, to be honest with you. I hope I can play as well as him when I’m his age, that’s for sure."

Kane, the captain of the English national team, recently scored a goal in England's 3-2 victory over Mexico in a World Cup match. Following the game, Trump posted on social media platform Truth Social, calling Kane a "GREAT player!!!"

Trump also commented on Kane's abilities to reporters, stating, "I think Kane is a great player. I played golf with him and I like him a lot. He's a good golfer too. He's really great."

Kane is currently the all-time leading goal scorer for England and has scored six goals in the team's five World Cup games leading up to their quarterfinal match against Norway. The upcoming match is set to feature a contest between Kane and Norway's star striker Erling Haaland, who has scored seven goals in the tournament so far.
