Halle Berry has once again voiced her wish to act opposite Zendaya, following the "Euphoria" star's tribute to Berry at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards. Zendaya appeared on the red carpet in Los Angeles wearing a silver Prada dress with a plunging neckline, a design reminiscent of an outfit Berry wore to the 2002 premiere of her James Bond film, "Die Another Day." The "Spider-Man" actress also styled her hair in a pixie cut, mirroring Berry's signature hairdo from that era.

Berry, who had previously expressed her admiration for Zendaya on "The Drew Barrymore Show," took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday to re-share a clip of that February appearance. In the video, an emotional Berry stated her desire to play Zendaya's mother, a sentiment that was met with applause.

Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, who was also present at the Emmys, clearly approved of Berry's idea, adding a "Definitely" with a red heart emoji to footage of Zendaya on the red carpet. Berry, 60, seemingly reiterated her enthusiasm by tagging Roach in a repost with the caption, "I mean . . . @luxurylaw."

Berry further acknowledged Zendaya's look by sharing additional reposts of the younger actress posing on the red carpet and commenting on Roach's posts, stating that Zendaya "murdered the night."

Roach had mentioned ahead of the event that Zendaya's Emmys look was "paying a little homage to Halle Berry tonight." Zendaya's ensemble was completed with a silver watch, and she was seen wearing her wedding ring.

Although Zendaya attended the red carpet solo, her husband, Tom Holland, joined her inside the ceremony. Zendaya, who was a presenter, was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in "Euphoria." She ultimately lost the award to Rhea Seehorn for her performance in "Pluribus."

The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards were hosted by Mariska Hargitay, marking the first time in 15 years that a woman hosted the ceremony. Among the notable nominations and snubs were "Euphoria" co-star Sydney Sweeney, Jeremy Allen White for "The Bear," and the cast of "Stranger Things."

Apple TV's "Widow's Bay" emerged as a major winner, securing six awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series. Matthew Rhys made history by becoming the first actor to win two leading acting awards in different categories in a single night for his work on "Widow's Bay" and "The Beast in Me." "The Pitt" also received top honors, taking home Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama for Noah Wyle. Other acting awards included Kate O'Flynn and Stephen Root for supporting roles in comedy, and Jean Smart for her fifth consecutive win in Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy. Sally Field won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for "Remarkably Bright Creatures."
