Gracie Hunt, heiress to the Kansas City Chiefs franchise, recently celebrated her engagement to Derek Green with an extravagant party. The event took place at Arrowhead Stadium, the very location where the couple first met.
Hunt, who is set to inherit the NFL team, announced her engagement on April 4. She is preparing to marry Green, the 26-year-old son of former Super Bowl champion quarterback Trent Green, who also played for the Chiefs.
The celebration saw Hunt, the daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, dazzling in a white dress. She shared a video of the couple overlooking the field from a stadium suite, holding hands and sharing a kiss. "Engagement party debrief in the place where we met," Hunt wrote over the clip. "Of all the places, all the moments — God wrote our story to begin right here. So grateful to have come back to this stadium engaged, surrounded by the people we love."
Attendees at the party included Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach, who posed for photos with the couple. Hunt expressed her gratitude for the event, stating, "Thank you for the most beautiful and unforgettable engagement party — we feel so incredibly loved and celebrated."
Describing her current phase, Hunt referred to her appearance in a white dress as "The bridal era glow." The couple made their relationship public in May 2025, though Hunt revealed they had been friends since 2017 after reconnecting as adults. "Derek and I have known each other our whole lives," Hunt told People. "We would actually play together as babies during the Chiefs' Christmas parties every year, and then we reconnected as adults in 2017 and met on the sidelines pregame. We reconnected in early March and have been inseparable ever since."
Hunt remains actively involved with the Chiefs, frequently attending games and expressing her view that "Chiefs Kingdom is becoming the world's team." She previously outlined her offseason priorities, which include growing her faith, spending time with family and friends, exploring business opportunities, and spending time in nature to recharge. "That way, I'm ready to give my best in the upcoming season," she stated.
