Georgina Ferzli, a cast member on Bravo's 'In The City,' is preparing to address a contentious moment from the show's recent season during the upcoming reunion. The controversy stems from a comment made by castmate Whitney Fransway, who allegedly accused fellow cast member Lindsay Hubbard of playing the "single mom card." Ferzli, who is also a single mother to two children, expressed her strong reaction to the remark.
Ferzli explained that both she and Hubbard had recently experienced several nights of solo parenting prior to the incident. "On that particular night, Lindsay and I were both coming off three nights of solo parenting," Ferzli stated. "She wasn’t affected because she just really needed to take a nap. But she’s affected now, trust me."
Ferzli indicated that she felt compelled to defend mothers and that her involvement in addressing Fransway's comment at the reunion was notably assertive. "I definitely speak up for mothers," Ferzli said. "I was definitely a bit aggressive at the reunion. Looking back, maybe I’m not so proud of that, but I think what I said is important."
The upcoming reunion will also feature three other cast members who are pregnant: Danielle Olivera, Lexi Sundin, and Yvonne Najor. Ferzli expressed excitement about the growing number of children in the group, anticipating that their kids might grow up together.
Ferzli also shared details about her initial involvement in reality television, noting that she never envisioned herself as a cast member. She met Hubbard through her dermatology practice and found their friendship to be a natural progression. "I always saw reality TV as Lindsay’s job, like being a dermatologist is my job," Ferzli commented, describing her participation in 'In The City' as a surprise opportunity that encouraged her to socialize more.
The show's season has explored Ferzli's experiences as a single mother, and she found the public discussion to be therapeutic. She has received messages from other mothers sharing similar struggles, which she finds meaningful. "I’m helping people. That’s meant the world to me," Ferzli said.
During a group dinner at Yvonne's wedding, Ferzli shared her story about moving out of her ex-partner's home, a moment she felt was important to recount. She observed that while Amanda appeared to absorb her story, Kyle seemed disengaged at that point in the evening.
Ferzli also commented on the dynamics at the reunion, agreeing with fellow castmate Yvonne Najor's assessment that Amanda had a lot to say, while Kenny had significant explanations to provide regarding recent events in his relationships and friendships.
