George Clooney and his wife Amal have departed the 83rd Venice Film Festival after a week that saw the actor receive the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.
The couple was photographed arm-in-arm as they left the Italian city on Saturday, appearing in good spirits.
Amal Clooney drew attention in a £1,695 snake print Elie Saab skirt, paired with a black vest top and brown belt. She accessorized with brown wedged sandals, a nude leather handbag, and sunglasses.
George Clooney, 65, who received the prestigious award on Wednesday, could not hide his smile. He was dressed casually in a navy polo shirt and beige chinos as they departed via water taxi.
This year's festival marked a significant event for Clooney, who has become a regular fixture in Venice over his nearly 30-year career. He previously attended with his first film, 'Out of Sight,' and has experienced many memorable moments in the city, including his wedding and the debut of 'Good Night, and Good Luck,' which earned him an Oscar nomination.
During his acceptance speech, George Clooney paid tribute to his wife, Amal, a British-Lebanese human rights lawyer known for her work representing Yazidi survivors and holding ISIS members accountable for genocide. He described her as a "badass" who "gets the job done."
He also reflected on their family life, noting that despite public scrutiny and challenging conversations, they maintain a normal family life with their two children, filled with laughter and love.
Earlier in the festival, Amal Clooney had also made notable fashion appearances. On Friday, she was seen in a £1,190 mesh Stella McCartney dress while holding hands with her husband. George Clooney also attended the premiere of his film 'Furies,' a Lebanese heist thriller for which he serves as executive producer. Early reviews have been positive, describing the drama as riveting and high-action.
