A member of a gang known for Rolex robberies, Nathan Muir, 32, has taunted Greater Manchester Police by posting a topless photograph of himself on their Facebook wanted appeal. Muir, who is on the run from police, suggested the mugshot used by officers was not flattering.

He posted the image with the comment, "Could have done a better pic," accompanied by a raised eyebrow emoji. The post received a significant reaction on social media, with many users reacting with laughing emojis and calling Muir a "legend."

Muir is wanted on recall to prison by the Wythenshawe division of Greater Manchester Police and is believed to have connections to the Wythenshawe, Hale, and Altrincham areas.

He has a history of convictions, including 36 previous offenses at the time of his sentencing in March 2023, when he received a five-and-a-half-year prison sentence. His past convictions include supplying class A and B drugs, burglary, conspiracy to steal, handling a stolen Audi, and driving while disqualified.

Muir was part of a gang that targeted wealthy diners in Manchester, stealing high-end watches. The gang would observe customers leaving upscale restaurants before carrying out thefts. Undercover officers also observed Muir driving in affluent areas of south Manchester and Cheshire, seemingly looking for vehicles to steal valuables from.

During a previous arrest, police found lock picks and £4,500 in cash. An analysis of his mobile phone revealed incriminating messages related to dealing class A and B drugs, including cocaine and cannabis.

Muir's lawyer had previously stated that he had been diagnosed with ADHD and suffered from depression. Greater Manchester Police are appealing for any information regarding Muir's whereabouts and can be contacted on 101 or 0161 856 1748.
