A homeowner near Glasgow, Scotland, who had been experiencing weeks of missing milk deliveries, installed a security camera to uncover the perpetrator. Gordon Campbell, 42, initially suspected a person might be responsible for the disappearances, even humorously theorizing about a "militant vegan."

However, the footage revealed the culprit to be a young fox. The video shows the animal approaching the doorstep, taking a glass bottle of milk in its mouth, knocking it over, and carrying it away. This had been occurring for about a month.

Campbell had also considered that magpies might be responsible, acknowledging their intelligence, but doubted their ability to move a full milk bottle. To confirm his suspicions, he set up a "sting" operation by placing a milk-filled bottle outside and positioning a camera.

The plan proved successful within hours, capturing the fox's activity shortly after 2:30 a.m. on July 20. Campbell found the situation amusing, describing the fox as "cute."

Campbell had been a milk delivery customer since the COVID-19 pandemic but had temporarily stopped the service due to the repeated thefts, opting to purchase milk from a grocery store instead. He mentioned that a fox had appeared at his home months earlier, and his cat had chased it away after it attempted to enter the house through the cat door.

Now aware of the persistent thief, Campbell indicated he might resume his milk deliveries but plans to use a protective box to store the bottles securely.
