Karoline Leavitt, former White House press secretary under President Donald Trump, is joining Fox News as an on-air contributor. The network announced her new role on Monday, with Leavitt set to begin on November 1. She is expected to appear across both Fox News's news and opinion programming.

Leavitt, 29, stepped down from her White House position in August. According to The New York Times, she left Washington after the birth of her second child and has relocated with her family to New Hampshire. She previously stated a desire to spend more time with her children while continuing to support Trump and the Republican Party.

Leavitt's appointment makes her the second former Trump press secretary to join Fox News, following Kayleigh McEnany. Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott commented to The New York Times that Leavitt's experience in both the White House and on campaigns provides her with a unique perspective on the current political landscape.
