The criminal case against former Penthouse Pet and OnlyFans model Adva Lavie was suspended in a Los Angeles County courtroom Wednesday following a dramatic outburst where she pleaded to be deported to Israel.
Lavie, who also goes by the name Mia Ventura, began crying and yelling, prompting the judge to halt proceedings. "Just deport me back to Israel. They broke my rib. Just send me home. They’re beating me up," Lavie was heard saying, according to ABC 7. She also stated she "can’t survive in jail" and "can’t even stand."
The judge's decision to suspend the case also followed Lavie's defense attorney expressing doubt about her mental competency, leading to a freeze in legal proceedings until her mental fitness for trial can be determined.
During the hearing, Lavie was observed leaving and reentering the courtroom. Witnesses reported she appeared to be limping and at one point used a rolling chair.
This incident occurred two weeks after Lavie was denied mental health treatment in lieu of jail time. Her July arrest followed allegations of violating bail conditions and a theft accusation in Riverside County.
Prior to her July arrest, Lavie was taken into custody on accusations of targeting wealthy older men. She faces six felony counts, including grand theft, burglary, and unauthorized use of personal identifying information, to which she has pleaded not guilty.
Authorities allege Lavie used dating apps to extort victims, including older wealthy men and younger women. She is accused of stealing items such as a credit card, designer clothing valued at $100,000, gold coins, and designer purses.
