The Department of War has revoked former Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall's eligibility to access classified information and to hold any sensitive positions, citing an unauthorized disclosure of information regarding Air Force One's capabilities.

Military officials announced the decision Friday, stating it took effect immediately. "Safeguarding classified information is a non-negotiable duty," Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said in a statement. "Those who violate that trust forfeit the privilege of access and any role requiring it."

Kendall served as Secretary of the Air Force under President Joe Biden. The specific details of the unauthorized disclosure were not immediately released.
