A family gathered for the funeral of three sisters who were found dead in the sea off the coast of Brighton in May. The sisters, Jane Adetoro, Christina Walters, and Rebecca Walters, were all born in Luton and were living together in Greenford, London.
Emergency services were alerted on May 13 at approximately 5:45 a.m. BST to a report of a person in the water near Black Rock car park on Madeira Drive. Sussex Police stated that their investigation would "leave no stone unturned" and that they were exploring "a number of lines of inquiry, which include understanding exactly who Jane, Christina and Rebecca were, to help us build a picture of how and why they came to be at the beach that morning."
Investigators have reviewed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage and interviewed several witnesses as part of their efforts to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The father of the three women described their loss as "unbearable."
