Farrah Abraham has adopted a rigorous fitness regimen as part of her pivot towards a more natural aesthetic, a significant shift after years of cosmetic procedures.
Abraham, 35, has been observed engaging in outdoor workouts in Austin, Texas, clad in athletic wear. She told the Daily Mail that her current fitness focus is on building trapezius muscles through weightlifting and a high-protein diet. "Right now, my workout is all about traps, traps, traps," she stated, explaining that strengthening these muscles aids her posture and neck. "Focusing on my traps really helps my neck and posture. So, that’s my biggest focus, along with my back and core."
Her dedication to fitness is also linked to managing ongoing health issues causing significant pain. Abraham revealed she has dealt with chronic jaw and neck problems for years, anticipating jaw surgery in September. "I've had ongoing issues with my jaw and neck for years, and until I have my jaw surgery in September, keeping my neck, back and core as strong as possible really helps manage the pain," she explained. Her goal is to prioritize strength, health, and resilience over size reduction. "For me, it's less about getting smaller and more about being strong, healthy and resilient. Weight training helps me stay lean while building real strength."
These health challenges have also led Abraham to adopt a liquid diet to minimize jaw strain. "I eat a mostly high-protein diet, but because of my jaw issues, a lot of my meals are in liquid form," she said. "I blend most of my food because it means less chewing and puts less strain on my jaw. Things like wraps or toasted sandwiches are just too difficult for me right now, so I've had to adapt the way I eat."
Despite her current focus on health and fitness, Abraham has a well-documented history of extensive cosmetic surgery, reportedly spending between six and seven figures on procedures. She has undergone a "liquid BBL," which utilizes injectable dermal fillers instead of fat transfer or implants. Her first procedure was a breast augmentation at age 19, and she has admitted to spending approximately $50,000 on lip augmentations alone. She has referred to her altered physique as a "million-dollar body."
Last September, Abraham told Us Weekly that she had stopped using Botox and fillers, expressing a desire to reverse some facial procedures after an allergic reaction. "Farrah, el natural!" she declared at the time. However, her current jaw condition, described as a "degenerative disc disease," prevents her from opening her mouth normally, a problem she hopes surgery will rectify. "I can't use my jaw. I can't open my mouth up normally," she explained. "I would like to just open my mouth for a hotdog, okay."
Abraham also hinted at upcoming projects, including a potential standup comedy tour and "something on Netflix."
