Far-left streaming personality Hasan Piker predicted in an interview with CNN's Donie O'Sullivan that there is a "0% chance" the Democratic Party's nominee in 2028 will be pro-Israel. Piker expressed confidence that the party would not select a candidate with such views.
When asked by O'Sullivan if he would endorse a pro-Israel Democratic candidate in 2028, even if he disagreed with their stance on Israel, provided they were focused on "defeating fascism" in America, Piker responded, "Luckily, I don't think I'll have to make that calculation at all because there is 0% chance that whoever the elected Democrat is that wins the primary will be pro-Israel in any way, shape or form. You'll see."
During a separate Zeteo interview, Piker was asked to choose between Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., as his preferred Democratic candidate for 2028. Piker immediately selected Ocasio-Cortez, stating, "AOC. It's not even a question."
Piker recently drew renewed attention after viewers observed a framed copy of a newspaper front page from Sept. 12, 2001, displaying coverage of the 9/11 attacks, in the background of his livestreams. Piker referred to the framed newspaper as the "cutie Cinderella newspaper from 9/11, the morning of 9/12." He had previously faced criticism in 2019 for a comment made on stream about the 9/11 attacks, which he later clarified as a critique of U.S. foreign policy.
Polling data has indicated a decline in support for Israel among Democrats, with several far-left candidates reportedly winning primaries with anti-Israel platforms.
