The family of Leonardo Sanchez, a 46-year-old man who was fatally stabbed by a group outside a Bronx afterhours club early Sunday, is seeking justice for his death. Sanchez was involved in a dispute with a group near East 183rd Street and Grand Concourse around 6:50 a.m. when he was repeatedly attacked.

According to police and sources, as many as a half dozen individuals assaulted Sanchez with knives, leaving him critically wounded. The attackers then fled the scene in multiple vehicles. Sanchez was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

"We are absolutely looking for justice," said Islen Sanchez, the victim's niece. "We want the people that are responsible found and brought to justice. They stripped us of someone who played a vital role in our family, who was cherished, absolutely loved."

She described the death as sudden and unexpected, noting the profound grief of Sanchez's mother. Leonardo Sanchez, a native of Manhattan, was part of a large family, including five siblings and two daughters.

Investigators have not yet released details regarding the specific cause of the dispute that led to the fatal stabbing. The perpetrators remain at large.
