Taylor Farrimond, 31, appeared at Southwark Crown Court and denied charges stemming from an alleged incident on April 11, where he is accused of stealing an unlocked Mercedes with keys in the ignition and leading police on a chase through London's West End. The court heard that Farrimond had been "incredibly intoxicated" after a night at a cocktail bar.

The pursuit, which lasted less than 10 minutes, concluded when the alleged stolen vehicle collided with a pedicab on Bow Street, resulting in minor injuries to several individuals, including a woman identified as Angela Traykovska. Farrimond was arrested at the scene.

Allegations and Charges

Prosecutor Sarah Madden stated that after being taken to the hospital, Farrimond allegedly "kicked a uniformed officer in the head," leading to a charge of actual bodily harm. Further allegations include criminal damage to the pedicab, a VW Polo owned by Ms. Traykovska, a Land Rover Defender on Russell Street, and the Mercedes itself. Farrimond also faces a charge of dangerous driving.

Farrimond, identified as the former head of operations for the coworking company Koba, has denied all charges. These include actual bodily harm, assaulting a police officer, four counts of criminal damage, and dangerous driving.

Legal Proceedings

During an earlier hearing, Ms. Madden described how Farrimond's companion noted his "normal" behavior until a bar worker alerted him to check on Farrimond. His friend then allegedly observed Farrimond climbing on and damaging vehicles before finding an open car with keys inside.

CCTV footage reportedly shows Farrimond driving the vehicle through central London before colliding with the pedicab and subsequently a taxi. Ms. Madden added that Farrimond "made the deliberate decision to endanger other users," alleging he was driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Judge Sally-Ann Hales, KC, granted Farrimond bail. His trial has been scheduled for November 22, 2027, as it is the earliest date the court could accommodate the proceedings.
