Patrick Clancy, the ex-husband of Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy, has remarried a New York City-based fertility specialist, Dr. Rachel Danis. The remarriage follows the tragic deaths of their three young children, who were strangled by Lindsay Clancy in January 2023. Patrick Clancy found the children deceased in their Duxbury home.

Approximately four months after the killings, Patrick Clancy relocated to Manhattan. He and Danis, 37, tied the knot in April in an intimate ceremony at Central Park's Ladies Pavilion, followed by a reception at Sarabeth's. Social media posts depict the couple attending fitness classes and participating in the New York City Marathon in November 2025.

Danis, a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist, also holds a position as an assistant clinical professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. A friend of the couple described Danis as a nurturing individual with a "heart of gold" who is helping Patrick heal from his trauma. The friend also expressed admiration for Patrick Clancy's resilience in the wake of the tragedy.

Patrick Clancy has publicly maintained a supportive stance towards his ex-wife, stating in an October 2024 interview with The New Yorker that he was married to someone who "got sick" rather than a "monster."

Lindsay Clancy is accused of strangling their children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan, with exercise bands before attempting to kill herself, resulting in paralysis from the waist down. Her trial is set to commence in Plymouth County, where Patrick Clancy is expected to testify as the prosecution's first witness. He is also listed as a witness for the defense.

During the trial, Patrick Clancy is anticipated to be questioned about his marriage, his perception of his ex-wife's mental state, and the events leading up to the children's deaths. The defense team, led by attorney Kevin Reddington, intends to focus on an insanity defense, highlighting Lindsay Clancy's alleged postpartum psychosis and efforts to seek psychiatric help.

Prosecutors are expected to argue that Lindsay Clancy was lucid and planned the killings to be alone with the children. The trial's outcome may depend on the jury's assessment of whether she was experiencing a psychiatric episode.

Recently, Patrick Clancy filed a motion to restrict the public display of his 911 call recording, crime scene and autopsy photographs, and his children's clothing during the trial. A judge reportedly granted the motion on Friday, prohibiting media from disseminating the 911 call and autopsy photos, though the evidence will be presented in court.
