Mia Bieniemy, wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, called 911 after their son allegedly shot her twice during what authorities described as a domestic disturbance. Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman confirmed to WJLA that the victim herself made the call for help.

Chapman stated that Elijah Zion Bieniemy, the couple's son, is in custody. Mia Bieniemy was reportedly in stable condition after sustaining gunshot wounds to the chest and arm. Eric Bieniemy was with his wife at the hospital following the incident.

Elijah Zion Bieniemy faces three felony charges, including malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling. He is being held without bond. The sheriff indicated that there were no other reported incidents at the residence and that his office was researching any potential prior arrests related to Elijah.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged shooting is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the sequence of events and the cause of the disturbance.
