Four projects in Devon have been nominated for the environmental category in BBC Radio Devon's Make a Difference Awards. These initiatives are being honored for their efforts in making local communities more eco-friendly, wilder, and healthier through various environmental activities.

The nominated projects include The Growing Well Garden in Bow, the Sampford Peverell Tree Wardens in mid-Devon, Shallowford Farm on Dartmoor, and Sustainable Hatherleigh. These groups are engaged in a range of activities such as planting trees, growing vegetables, leading nature-focused events like bug hunts, and promoting a deeper connection with the natural environment.

The winners of the Make a Difference awards are scheduled to be announced on September 24 at Buckfast Abbey.

Shallowford Farm, located on Dartmoor, is recognized for its work in revitalizing the local environment.
