Emily Compagno delivered an emotional farewell to viewers of Fox News' "Outnumbered" on Friday, marking the end of her nearly six-year tenure as a co-host. She is set to take a permanent seat on the network's program "The Five" beginning Tuesday.
During her final signoff from "Outnumbered," Compagno expressed gratitude to her audience and colleagues. "And now everyone watching, after almost six years, I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to all of you at home who trusted me to help deliver and analyze the news every day at noon ET," she said.
She also acknowledged the "Outnumbered" production team, including executive producer Trina Thompson and the show's crew, highlighting their dedication and talent. "It has been an extraordinary privilege and an honor to serve as a co-host of ‘Outnumbered’,” Compagno stated before concluding with a nod to her new schedule: “From now on, see you at 5:00.”
Compagno will join Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, and Jesse Watters as a permanent co-host on "The Five." The liberal seat on "The Five" is typically filled by rotating hosts Harold Ford Jr. and Jessica Tarlov.
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott announced the move last month, describing Compagno as a "standout" whose "energy and talent" had made an impact across the network. The transition leaves a vacancy on the "Outnumbered" panel, with network personalities slated to rotate in Compagno's former position until a permanent replacement is selected.
Compagno joined Fox News as a contributor in 2018 and became a permanent co-host of "Outnumbered" in 2021. Her new role on "The Five" places her on a program that averaged 3.6 million viewers in the second quarter of 2026, according to Nielsen figures. "The Five" has consistently ranked as cable news' highest-rated show for the past 19 consecutive quarters.
Upon the announcement of her promotion, Compagno described securing an official seat on "The Five," a program she has long admired, as an "incredible privilege."
