Elizabeth Olsen has reportedly welcomed her first child with husband Robbie Arnett. The couple was seen in Los Angeles on Saturday walking with a newborn in a white carrier.

Olsen, 37, was pictured wearing a wide-brimmed hat, while the baby was also kept shaded from the sun. She was seen wearing a yellow top and striped trousers last weekend, with no obvious baby bump, suggesting the birth had recently occurred.

The actress, known for her role as Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, had previously discussed the timing of starting a family. In a 2021 interview with SiriusXM, she pondered, "At what point do I get pregnant? At what point do I have my first baby? Is that five years from now? Because then I only have this kind of a window."

She also spoke with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige about when to consider starting a family. Feige, she told OK! magazine, offered the supportive response, "You live your life and we'll work around you."

Olsen and Arnett met in Mexico in 2017 and were married before the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020. Their engagement was reported in July 2019, and Olsen referred to Arnett as her "husband" in a Variety interview in 2021.

Olsen has expressed reservations about her future child entering the entertainment industry, citing the complexities faced by child actors. She stated to The Times that she would not want her child to become an actor, not as a reflection on her famous twin sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, but due to the challenges of childhood in the public eye, amplified by social media.

"Being younger today is already so complicated," she said. "To amplify it by being a child actor and then amplify it by social media, I just think it's a lot for a kid's development... I think my sisters are on a totally different path than your average child actor."
