Eddie McGuire has confirmed that Karl Stefanovic will not be co-hosting ARN radio show, "The Long Weekend." McGuire sent well-wishes to his friend during a solo appearance on the latest episode of the broadcast.

"As extensively reported this week, my co-host and friend Karl Stefanovic will no longer be part of The Long Weekend show, as he dedicates the next phase of his amazingly successful career to his podcast, The Karl Stefanovic Show," McGuire stated. "I wish Karl the best of luck as his storied and ever-colourful media journey continues."

Stefanovic had appeared on only two episodes of the three-hour Friday show, which airs across ARN's Gold radio network. Sources indicated that the network made the decision to end their professional relationship last month. Stefanovic's contract was reportedly worth approximately $200,000 for the remainder of the year. McGuire will continue to host "The Long Weekend" without him.

This development follows Stefanovic's recent departure from the "Today" show and Channel Nine. The exit came after an interview with British far-right commentator Tommy Robinson on Stefanovic's podcast, "The Karl Stefanovic Show."

Meanwhile, domain names for "Kyle and Karl" websites were registered last month by King Kyle Group Pty Ltd, the company of fellow radio personality Kyle Sandilands. The IP addresses for kyleandkarl.com.au and karlandkyle.com.au were registered to Sandilands' company, which also registered themorningmen.com.au and morningmen.com.au in 2024, suggesting a potential collaboration between Sandilands and Stefanovic.

A source close to the duo told The Daily Telegraph that "It is something they've been talking about for a while." Sandilands, who recently settled with former employer ARN for $12 million, has reportedly maintained close contact with Stefanovic since his exit from Nine.

Stefanovic's departure from the "Today" show on June 26 was abrupt and occurred amid the fallout from his podcast interview. In a statement, Channel Nine indicated that Stefanovic could not continue his employment with the network while simultaneously hosting his podcast. Reports suggest that Channel 7 and Network Ten have privately ruled out hiring Stefanovic.
