Swift had even hinted in October 2025 that her longtime friend might perform at her wedding. "He's like, ‘I’m always being asked to sing at weddings,’" she said on "Capital FM Breakfast Show," adding, "‘Ed, if there’s a stage you know that you’ll be on it.’ He knows what people want, and he wants to give people what they want."
Swift also suggested that Sheeran could bring "energy" to her nuptials.
