Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is reportedly utilizing artificial intelligence, specifically ChatGPT, to help refresh his messaging to the team as he prepares for his sixth season.

Sirianni, 45, is seeking innovative approaches to maintain player inspiration. He has turned to the AI chatbot for assistance, even if he is not fully familiar with its technical aspects. "We’ve created stories, things that people are looking up on ChatGP — fill me in on the letters," Sirianni was quoted as saying, according to The Athletic.

The Eagles' established mantra is "tough, detailed, together," but Sirianni aims to discover novel methods for delivering messages that resonate with and motivate the team. In one instance, he prompted the AI with: "Give me a great relentless effort true sports story."

Following this prompt, Sirianni learned about Anthony Robles, a wrestler from Arizona State who overcame being born with one leg to win a national championship in 2011. Sirianni reportedly planned to share Robles' story with his team to reinforce their core message through a different narrative.

The upcoming season carries significant pressure for Sirianni and the Eagles. Despite a Super Bowl victory in 2024, the team experienced a disappointing performance the following year, ending their season in the wild-card round amidst reports of internal disconnect. The competitive landscape in Philadelphia, where coaching changes can be swift, adds to the urgency. For context, Doug Pederson was dismissed three years after leading the Eagles to their first Super Bowl title in the 2017-18 season. A sluggish start for Sirianni in the upcoming season could place him under considerable scrutiny.
