Dylan Sprouse has detailed a terrifying home invasion incident during which he confronted an intruder at his Los Angeles residence. The actor shared the account on a recent episode of his podcast, "Wildmen," with co-host Brendan Columbus, several months after the event occurred.

Sprouse, 33, stated that he and his wife, Barbara Palvin, who is pregnant with their first child, were at home late one evening when he heard a noise at the front door. He explained that he often did not lock the door until going to bed. Hearing a rattle, Sprouse's initial thoughts ranged from his father visiting to someone attempting to steal the Pokémon cards they were opening. He admitted that while their Pokémon collection was not the most valuable item in the house, his wife's life was.

He retrieved a handgun from upstairs and, within approximately 20 seconds, confronted the intruder. Sprouse's wife, Palvin, remained upstairs and contacted the police. "She f***ing killed it. She wasn't crow's nest out the upper floor window," Sprouse said of her actions.

Upon confronting the man, Sprouse asked who was there, to which the intruder responded, "Nobody!" As the man emerged into the light, Sprouse noticed he was walking slowly and carrying a cigarette in one hand and a longboard skateboard in the other. Sprouse described the man as appearing "kind of tweaking" and stated that the intruder said he did not know where he was, leading Sprouse to suspect he was under the influence of substances.

Sprouse instructed the man to follow him off the property, emphasizing a slow pace and visible hands. The intruder complied without incident. Sprouse also observed that the man had wires hanging out of his pockets and a bulge on his chest, which turned out to be a fanny pack. He then told the man to sit down and wait for the police.

Sprouse clarified that he did not tackle the intruder, though he humorously noted he doesn't correct people who believe he did. The intruder was taken into custody due to previous arrest warrants, and Sprouse indicated he did not press charges.

The account of the home invasion comes shortly after Sprouse and Palvin announced they are expecting a baby girl. The couple first revealed Palvin's pregnancy in May at the Cannes Film Festival, later confirming the news on Instagram. They shared the gender of their baby on an earlier episode of the "Wildmen" podcast.
