Paramount+ has officially renewed the popular Yellowstone spin-off series, "Dutton Ranch," for a second season. While a specific premiere date has not yet been announced, production is slated to begin in early 2027.

The renewal comes after a successful first season that garnered significant viewership. According to a press release from Paramount+, the series set a record as the biggest Original Series launch in the platform's history, attracting 12.9 million global viewers within seven days of its premiere. On Paramount Network, the show’s two-episode debut drew 2.9 million total viewers, making it the highest-rated cable entertainment telecast among adults 18-49 and total viewers since 2023.

"‘Dutton Ranch’ has resonated with audiences in a powerful way, building on the legacy of beloved characters, while establishing its own identity," said Matt Thunell, President of Paramount Television Studios. "Thank you to our partners at Paramount+ and 101 Studios for a phenomenal first season. We look forward to bringing fans more stories from these unforgettable characters in Season 2."

The first season of "Dutton Ranch" concluded with its ninth episode, "El Padrino," leaving viewers with several cliffhangers. Key plot points included the kidnapping of Carter by a cartel, the death of Rob-Will, and unresolved questions surrounding characters like Sheriff Wade, Everett, and Miguel.

Benjamin Cavell has joined the series as the new showrunner for Season 2. He steps into the role previously held by Chad Feehan, who departed the series shortly before its premiere. Additionally, actor Cole Hauser, who portrays Rip Wheeler, is confirmed to continue his role and is also an executive producer on the series. Despite fan speculation, there is no indication that Hauser or his character will be departing the show.

Fans seeking to catch up on the series can stream the first season of "Dutton Ranch" on Paramount+. The platform offers two subscription tiers: Essential and Premium. Paramount+ content is also accessible through Hulu and Prime Video by adding the Paramount+ subscription.

In related news, another Yellowstone spin-off, "Marshals," is set to premiere its second season on October 4, 2025, on CBS and will be available for streaming on Paramount+.
