A drug dealer responsible for a "DoorDash for Drugs" scheme that supplied the fentanyl-laced pills contributing to the overdose death of TikTok influencer Cooper Noriega has been sentenced to 27 years in federal prison. Erick Oved Estrada, 37, also known by aliases "Franco Sanchez" and "Eric Freddy Hook," received the sentence from United States District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald on Thursday.
Estrada was taken into federal custody in November 2023 for his role in a drug trafficking operation that offered same-day delivery of cocaine and fentanyl-laced oxycodone. This operation resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals.
Among those who received fatal drugs from Estrada's operation was Arian Alani, 37, a co-defendant and drug dealer. Alani sold Noriega fentanyl-laced pills on June 9, 2022. Two days after the sale, Alani texted Estrada, stating that his "boy just died yesterday" and that Estrada "shouldn’t be selling [expletive] with fentanyl." Alani pleaded guilty in September 2025 to one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and is scheduled for sentencing in December.
Noriega, who had nearly 2 million followers on TikTok at the time of his death at age 19, was found unconscious in a mall parking lot near Los Angeles. Paramedics were unable to revive him. The influencer had posted a TikTok video about dying "young af" hours before his death.
Estrada had previously pleaded guilty in October 2025 to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances resulting in death and one count of distribution of fentanyl resulting in death. The investigation was a joint effort by the Drug Enforcement Administration and IRS Criminal Investigation agencies.
In addition to his prison sentence, Estrada has been ordered to pay $43,145 in restitution for his crimes. In a separate instance, a victim identified as "S.M." purchased eight pills from a driver working for Estrada, which were represented as Xanax and oxycodone. After ingesting the pills, the victim died of an overdose.
