A police chase in California on Sunday night reached speeds exceeding 130 mph, with the driver of a maroon Dodge Charger making an unusual stop to refuel before continuing the pursuit. The pursuit began in the West Valley and stretched toward Pasadena.

The California Highway Patrol was pursuing the Charger, described as having blacked-out windows and no headlights, which repeatedly surpassed 130 mph. At one point, realizing the vehicle was low on fuel, the driver pulled off the freeway and stopped at a gas station. After refueling, the driver rejoined the freeway and resumed the chase, according to reports.

Helicopter footage continuously monitored the vehicle, which authorities struggled to keep sight of due to its speed. The chase concluded near Del Monte Street and Forest Avenue in Pasadena when the three occupants attempted to flee the vehicle on foot. All three individuals were arrested at the scene.
