The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants are among five Major League Baseball teams that have entered into multi-year brand partnerships with Kalshi, a prediction market platform. The agreements were announced Tuesday.
Kalshi, which has also partnered with the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, and San Diego Padres, will become the official and exclusive prediction market partner for these franchises. The deals will feature Kalshi's presence through in-stadium signage and social media posts. As part of the Dodgers partnership, the Gold Glove Bar at Dodger Stadium will be renamed the Kalshi 435 Club.
According to Kalshi, trading volume related to baseball on its platform has increased by 36 times compared to the previous year. "The idea is that fans are already engaging with their favorite teams on Kalshi, so it only makes sense to extend that fandom to some of the most beloved baseball teams in America," said Adam Barrick, Kalshi's head of sports partnerships, in a press release.
Lorenzo Sciarrino, SVP of global partnerships for the Dodgers, stated in a press release that the team is "always looking for innovative ways to connect with our fans, and Kalshi represents an exciting new category." Steve Tseng, Senior Vice President of Partnerships for the Giants, added, "We’re pleased to welcome Kalshi to the Giants family. We are focused on creating unmatched experiences for our fans, and are excited to work with Kalshi to bring this goal to life."
These partnerships with MLB teams follow a recent agreement between the New York Yankees and Polymarket, and the New York Mets' earlier multi-year deal with Novig, marking a growing trend of prediction market engagement within professional baseball.
