Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has commented on golfer Tiger Woods' probation terms after Woods entered a plea deal following a car crash in March. Woods' driver's license was suspended for five years as part of the deal. However, Florida law permits individuals 18 years and older to operate golf carts without a license, a detail confirmed by Woods' attorney to the Associated Press and which DeSantis reportedly weighed in on.
Tiger Woods, who pleaded in relation to a single-car crash in South Florida in February, was facing a potential five-year suspension of his driver's license. His attorney, Thomas Bakkedahl, clarified that Woods would still be permitted to drive a golf cart on a course during his probation. "Per Florida law, as long you're at least 18, you can operate a golf cart without a license. That applies to anyone," Bakkedahl stated.
In a separate sports news item, Mets broadcaster Keith Hernandez reportedly called the Tampa Bay Rays "woke" during a game broadcast. The "Nightcaps" column, which covers daily sports, news, and culture stories for OutKick.com, noted Hernandez's comment.
The column also touched on other topics, including the return of college football for Week 1, with the Colorado Buffaloes playing Georgia Tech. It also briefly mentioned Ryan Reynolds' comments about the 1980s and Jena Sims Koepka. IMAGE2
