Dorian Puka, a 29-year-old Albanian national, has re-entered the United Kingdom after being deported twice for burglary offenses. He has been documenting his extravagant lifestyle on social media, including videos of him feeding wads of British pounds to his dogs. Puka was first jailed for nine months in 2016 for an attempted home break-in and was subsequently deported in 2017. He returned to the UK within a year and committed further burglaries, leading to a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence. During this incarceration, he reportedly used a smuggled phone to post images with prisoners associated with organized crime groups. He was deported again in March 2020 but returned to the UK by January 2021, reportedly traveling through several European countries. Social media posts suggest he has been living in the UK for over three years while his asylum claim and legal challenges are ongoing, a situation that has been attributed to a loophole in deportation laws.
Puka's social media content features him driving luxury cars, including Ferraris and a Lamborghini, and showcasing designer clothing, Rolex watches, and expensive meals. He has also posted videos of what appears to be a big cat cub in a harness in a luxury car. The Home Office has stated that Puka is a known foreign national offender and that they are working to remove him as soon as possible. A spokesperson noted that nearly 10,000 foreign national offenders have been removed under the current government and that efforts are underway to expedite the removal of foreign criminals. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is reportedly working to change laws that allow foreign criminals to avoid deportation through human rights claims and is streamlining the appeals system.
In one instance, Puka was tracked down by media at a luxury seaside hotel in Cornwall, which had previously hosted world leaders. He claimed to be there for a birthday trip and later stated he was only using the swimming pool, asserting that the Home Office was aware of his location and that he was wearing an electronic tag. He dismissed questions about how his victims might feel about his stay, suggesting the inquiry was racist and demanding the police be called. Despite his inability to work legally in the UK due to his deportation history, Puka appears to fund a lavish lifestyle that includes high-end vehicles, golfing holidays, and shisha bars, all displayed on his Instagram account. His vehicle collection reportedly includes a Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes G-Wagon, Bentley Bentayga, and others, alongside a Patek Philippe watch. Puka is currently facing a third deportation attempt after the government won an immigration tribunal hearing, though he has appealed the ruling.
