Actor Dennis Quaid has officially put his Los Angeles home on the market for $5.2 million, joining a growing number of Hollywood figures leaving the area. Quaid, who has been critical of Los Angeles, is selling his five-bedroom, six-bathroom residence in Brentwood Hills, which spans over 4,000 square feet. The home is described in its listing as a "pristine, completely remodeled, two-story warm Contemporary done with great taste and quality at the end of a quiet, flat cul-de-sac street in a desirable Brentwood Hills location."

Quaid purchased the property in 2017 and is listing it for $1.3 million more than his purchase price. However, due to inflation, he is expected to take a six-figure loss on the sale. The actor has publicly voiced concerns about the direction of Los Angeles, telling Fox News that the city has been "going downhill" and that residents pay high taxes with perceived minimal services. He also pointed to issues such as wildfire management as exposing shortcomings in city services.

"So people are—people are angry and half angry, and they’re half kind of feel like giving up, to tell you the truth," Quaid remarked.

Quaid has maintained a primary residence in Tennessee, but his decision to sell his Los Angeles property marks a significant step in his departure from the city. He joins other notable Hollywood figures like Mark Wahlberg and Dean Cain who have relocated from California in recent years. The reasons cited for these departures range from concerns over wildfire preparedness to dissatisfaction with liberal policies and the general quality of life.
