Podcaster Dave Rubin believes President Donald Trump has a limited window of approximately three months to advance his policy agenda before the upcoming midterm elections. Speaking on "Hang Out with Sean Hannity," Rubin warned that a Democratic victory in the House could lead to impeachment proceedings against the president.
Rubin suggested that if Republicans lose the House, Trump would likely face impeachment, although he does not anticipate removal from office due to insufficient Senate votes. The "Rubin Report" host stated that such a scenario would mark the beginning of the end for the Make America Great Again movement and its leader's time in the Oval Office.
He further cautioned that a shift in power could embolden progressive factions and lead to internal strife among conservatives. Rubin described the potential aftermath as a scenario where individuals abandon Trump's platform, resulting in "complete chaos."
Meanwhile, some Republicans in Washington have expressed concern that Trump's call to cancel the August recess could negatively impact the party in the midterms, as vulnerable incumbents wish to campaign with constituents.
Rubin characterized the approaching midterm elections as exceptionally critical, stating, "We are on the edge of handing the keys to the castle to people who are telling us they want to burn the castle down."
