Danniella Westbrook showcased the outcomes of her most recent facial reconstruction on Wednesday, weeks after undergoing surgery for a hare lip reversal. The actress, 52, is currently engaged in an 18-month process to repair her face, which was impacted by a collapsed septum resulting from years of drug abuse.
Westbrook has a fifth facial surgery scheduled for the end of September, during which doctors plan to remove a rib. While awaiting further procedures, she visited a hair salon in Mayfair for a blow dry. She was seen in a khaki green loungewear set.
Her latest surgery specifically addressed her hare lip, which she previously described as being pulled in the wrong direction. The objective of these treatments is to restore and enhance her facial features after years of documented health and reconstructive challenges.
The television personality has been open about her medical journey, regularly sharing her progress through a series of specialized procedures aimed at rebuilding her appearance. Westbrook stated that she will undergo six more procedures over 18 months to fully repair her face. Earlier this year, in March, she traveled to Dubai for a full face, neck, and brow lift, along with lip and nose reconstruction. She confirmed that another surgery is planned to implant a metal cheekbone.
"I've been for umpteen surgeries, I'm coming up to surgery number six at the moment, so it's quite scary," Westbrook said. "Since I got older the osteoporosis has set in on my bones. So on this side of my face, I don't have any bone at all. So they've got to rebuild all my bones. At the moment it's filler, but they've really got to do a metal bone. It's got to be put in there. So I've got to do at some point a metal cheekbone here and connect it to further up in here where the bone isn't corroding."
Westbrook underwent facial reconstruction at the Gargash Hospital in the UAE. "I have three more nose operations to go. So we’re over half way there now. Facelift has really changed me and given me my confidence back," she said at the time.
This surgery marked a significant milestone for Westbrook, who has battled a collapsed septum stemming from her past drug use. She has openly discussed her addiction, estimating she spent around £250,000 on cocaine. Westbrook found fame at 16 on the show EastEnders, but her cocaine use led to her contract being terminated in 1996.
"I was always in clubs and everyone was doing coke and it was glamorous – except obviously, it wasn't at all. I was just very young, very stupid and very easily led... I think there should be someone at EastEnders to say to young people when they come in, 'Look, your life is about to change, you're going to be invited places, and you'll be offered drugs...' Someone who can tell them what sort of people are about, and what sort of papers, and how quickly what you've worked for all those years can be gone," she reflected on her past.
