Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has expressed frustration with receiving unsolicited comments and advice about her physical appearance. In a Monday Instagram post, Frederiksen, 48, shared that upon returning from a trip to Ukraine, she received a message from a plastic surgeon offering to address a perceived imperfection on her nose.

Frederiksen stated on the platform that she has frequently received messages criticizing her teeth, hair, and other features, often accompanied by suggestions for cosmetic procedures. She included a screenshot of the plastic surgeon's offer in her post, though she did not name the individual. Her direct response to the surgeon was, “Oh no. I’m happy with my body — I really don’t need a male plastic surgeon to have an opinion about it!”

As Denmark's second female prime minister and a leader in her third term, Frederiksen has been in office since mid-2019. She has been a prominent figure in European politics, known for her firm stance on issues such as Greenland's status and support for Ukraine.

In her Instagram message, Frederiksen emphasized that she respects others' appearances and is content with her own, particularly as she approaches age 50. She encouraged those who wish to contact her to focus on more substantive topics than her nose. The prime minister described the unsolicited beauty tips as "indignant" and extended a message of solidarity to others who face similar comments about their own "perfect imperfections."
